Isabel and George look forward to welcoming you to Mains of Machermore Farm. Our Farmhouse is adjacent to the CL Site, so we are on hand to assist you if required, our aim is to make your stay with us everything you would wish from a modern CAMC Certificated Location

On the site each of the five serviced pitches have hardstanding with a grass area, water tap and grey water drain. Five metered electric hook ups are also conveniently located for ease of use. The “Wee Hoose” contains a shower, toilet and wash hand basin for exclusive use of the CL as well as a local information point. Wifi is also available as well as an excellent TV reception.

Mains of Machermore is a family run farm situated a mile from the market town of Newton Stewart, also known as the Gateway to the Galloway Hills. The CL site benefits from lovely views of the surrounding hills as well as our Belted Galloway cattle, other livestock and wildlife which live here on the farm. We are always delighted when our summer visitors of the swallows and the swifts return each year.

Dogs welcome but must be kept on a lead and under control at all times. Maximum of 2 dogs.

From 1st January 2024 our pitch fee will be £19 per night for pitch and two adults with all electricity used charged for. Our unit price is 29.55 pence.
A simple electric hook up form (see document below) should be collected from the Wee Hoose on arrival. Guests should complete the meter reading on the form before plugging into the hook up and then again at the end of stay. This form should then be placed in our secure box in the Wee Hoose along with any cash payment for electricity used. Payment can also be paid by bank transfer.
